Coach trips for 2024


 

 

These trips have been planned to give a wide range of interest to our members. The coach prices have been set for 2024 but we have been advised by Lynns Travel that should fuel prices fluctuate greatly there may be some adjustments.





Wednesday 3rd April

Highdown Gardens & Hill

 

A visit to Highdown Gardens near Worthing. This garden was bequeathed to Worthing Borough Council by Lord and Lady Sterm and is free to enter. It consists of 8.5 acres of planting, woodland, and a visitor centre etc. It is located adjacent to the Southdown National Park. Refreshments are available.

This would be preceded by a visit to Haskins Garden Centre where you can explore the complex and enjoy refreshments.

 Tuesday 7th May

Hever Castle & Gardens

 

Dating back to 1270, Hever is a gem of a castle set in the county of Kent. Visitors can explore the castle and the extensive grounds and gardens. For those adventurous folk there is a boat trip on Hever Lake.

It is estimated that an approx. interest time spent on site is 5 hours (Hever is not NT or English Heritage)

Friday 7th June

Knowle Park-National Trust

 

This is a full days exciting outing including the deer park, Knowles collection of tapestries and showroom, the tower, and a visit to Lord Sackville’s private garden.

Additional attic tours can be arranged on arrival. Further information is available on their website.

Thursday 18th July

Kew Gardens

 

A return trip to these very popular gardens with plenty of interest for everybody. The gardens are located near local boutique shops of anybody wants some retail therapy. Kew has several very nice food outlets and an in-house shop

Sunday 29th September

Houghton Lodge Apple Fair

 

A day out with a difference. Houghton is near Stockbridge in Hampshire and hosts an annual apple festival. Visitors can sample all different varieties of old English apples etc. Houghton is a grade 2 listed house and is surrounded by beautiful gardens for a leisurely stroll. Refreshments are available

CANCELLATIONS

 

Members wishing to cancel a booking should notify the outings organiser (Pippa Logan).

If the ticket can be resold a refund will be made less £2 per seat to cover costs.

If the cancellation is made within 14 days of the date of the outing

NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN
