Thursday 17th May

 

VENTNOR BOTANICAL GARDENS

  

           This is a full day out visiting the Botanical gardens. It is a garden full of interest .

          At this time of the year there is a spectacular display of Echnuims and plenty to fill a day.

          You may even see a few red squirrels. Guided tour included in the cost. There are two nice   cafes at the gardens. If people wanted to explore further, a short walk along the coastal path

           to Steep Hill Cove, where the Crab Shack sells delicious snacks.

 

          There is also a  Pitch and putt adjacent to the gardens or a 20 minute walk takes you to the     seafront of Ventnor.

WEST DENE GARDENS

 

          By popular request a return visit to these gardens/college. These are some of best gardens

           in Sussex. Some its most popular features are the Walled Victorian  Kitchen Garden,

           13 working glasshouses and much more. If you fancy a 2 mile stroll via the parkland to the

           50 acre Arboretum  you won't be disappointed .We will combine this day with a short coffee stop at Roundstone garden centre en route.

WALMER CASTLE &

QUEEN MOTHER'S GARDEN

          A lovely day out visiting the castle and gardens. There is a nice cafe and also places to
          picnic. There is plenty to do for the day as there is also a very Interesting display on the

Duke of Wellington, well worth a visit. The castle is located within easy reach of the promenade where people could take a stroll into Deal if they so wished, guided tours of the gardens are included .

£25 per person

RHS WISLEY

          This popular RHS visit will coincide with the annual flower show, providing members

           with free entry to the gardens and all the attractions, plant stalls, craft displays etc.

£15.50 per person

Saturday 1st December

DICKENS CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

           Come along to Rochester Town Centre and uncover a feast of Victorian delights with

           familiar fictional characters, parades, carols, stalls, reindeer and lots of festive shopping.
          All this with a guaranteed snowfall, framed by Rochester’s fairytale cathedral and castle.
          There will be: a parade, an open air carol concert, street performers, reindeer, characters

            from Dickens' much loved stories. Together with guaranteed snowfall from snow machines

 £15.50 per person

Members wishing to cancel a booking should notify the  outings organiser (Pippa Logan).

If the ticket can be resold a refund will be made less £2 per seat to cover costs.

If the cancellation is made within 14 days of the date of the outing

NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN
